My Students
"Look what I did" is one of my favorite things to hear from one of my kindergarten students. I teach a diverse population of kindergarten students from many different backgrounds at a charter school in North Carolina. Our goal is to give these young learners a love for learning from their first day of school! In order to do this, I also strive to help my students become independent successful learners who go home and enjoy telling their parents all about what they learned at school each day!
My Project
As I teach reading and math skills, having iPads in the classroom to use during small groups would allow my students to put their learning in their own hands.
We always have students who are above, below and on grade level, and by having iPads, my students will be able to work on the standards we are teaching at their own level and their own pace.
All students love technology and by allowing them to use iPads during small groups, my students will be learning and applying things from our standards on their own and not even realizing they are learning because they are using the iPad.
