Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students do not have a 1 to 1 computer ratio. We handed out 1 for every 2 students in a family. We also encouraged them to get free Internet. Our students and their parent have needed a lot of help to get to online learning platforms.
My Project
An iPad is a wonder of technology, and I am hopeful I can retire my pieced together system. It’s been a clunky transition to distance learning because my technology has not been up to the task. An iPad will allow me to run clear Zoom meetings with sound and video. It will allow me to share screens and play online games with my students. As we transition out of distance learning, the iPad will become a classroom tool for individual students to practice online platforms. It’s a quality piece of equipment that can be used in every facet of my teaching.
