it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
While learning sight words, counting, and other necessary skills, my kindergarten students need more resources to support these goals.
The students come into school every day eager to learn.
My class will be one of five kindergarten classrooms in a Title I school with just over 500 students. It has often been said that our school is a hidden treasure and for that reason it can be difficult to locate. At times we do not receive community support to fund classroom needs. Many of our teachers seek funding for materials or purchase items independently.
My Project
The two iPad minis will support the students' goals of reading more than 70 sight words and counting fluently to 100 by the end of the school year. The intermediate goals of knowing letters, letter sounds, counting to 50, and reading common three-letter words such as "The cat and dog sat in the car" will be supported using apps installed on the iPad minis.
