My students need an iPad mini so they can learn how to safely navigate the internet to research exciting new people, animals, and places. They will also use the iPad to practice reading and math skills.

My Students

This year I have 23 amazing first graders who are between 6 and 7 years old. My children this year are in love with learning and technology. They love to discuss topics with each other and support their friends while learning new concepts.

These first graders may be young, but they have amazing ideas and an iPad would give them a chance to learn more about topics that interest them.

We are learning how to do research reports this year and use technology to find our information.

We also use technology to practice our reading and math skills.

My Project

My students will use the iPad to practice math and reading skills daily through the use of interactive games that make learning fun! This iPad would greatly increase the ability for my students to do research and more children will benefit from the math and reading practice.

My project will make a difference because these students are the digital natives.

Technology is the future and if young children learn how to safely and effectively use it at an early age, they will benefit for years to come.

My students will research animals, people, and places-as far as their imagination will take them.
