Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
At this school, we consider each other a family. We see many of the family members of the students early in the morning during the car-loop drop off and during parent pick-up. Many of the students play in after-curricular activities together for years so they develop a friendship that almost seems like a family. They care, support, and encourage each other every day to try their best and celebrate their accomplishments.
Determined, energetic, and fearless; my students are ready for whatever curveball is thrown their way even through a pandemic like this one.
Even though they are young they are devoted to learning the ins and outs of everything around them, as the generation of tomorrow, they need to be prepared to be exposed to a world of technological tools and learn an educational skill that they will use to contribute to the world.
My Project
Let's put thousands of books in their hands by creating an iPad Reading & STEAM Center in our virtual classroom.
With your help, we can create a virtual reading nook for students and give them an endless number of books to discover and have them explore science simulations and STEAM activities online.
With the use of the iPad Pro students can travel to distant lands, challenge dragons to duels, and fly through time without leaving our virtual classroom or home.
The iPad Reading Center will also help students with disabilities listen to audiobooks to improve phonological awareness and provide them with the self-confidence necessary to read aloud.
