Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach 27 third graders at a title-1 school in Salt Lake City, Utah. My class is very diverse, with students from a wide variety of cultures. Our diversity is a treasure that we embrace in a variety of ways every day. We see our differences as strengths and work together continuously to create and expand our wonderful world of learning.
In our classroom, we come together as a community, sharing our insights and knowledge to help each other learn and grow.
Go Eagles!
My Project
This year our school paid for each classroom to have access to a great program that allows us to track our students reading progress quickly and easily on a tablet. Unfortunately my classroom does not currently have access to a tablet, so we cannot take advantage of this time-saving technology.
This iPad would allow me to track the reading progress of all of my students in a short amount of time, preserving as much of my instructional time as possible for learning!
In addition to tracking reading progress, my students could utilize this iPad tablet for math and literacy applications.
