Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students at my school are creative, thoughtful, and incredibly kind! They absolutely love hands-on, active, and engaging projects. They come to school every day eager to learn and with a positive attitude.
My kids have chosen to come to our school for a hands-on educational experience.
An educational experience in which their culture and lifestyles will be embraced in the classroom. Each one of my students is unique, but that's what makes our classroom community all that much better.
My Project
My students need an iPad to be able to connect with the world in new ways and build early literacy, math and technological skills.
How often do you use your iPhone?
Your iPad? A computer? My AMAZING, creative, vivacious students only use a computer one-two times per week. My readers, artists, poets, graphic designers, computer engineers, they all deserve more!
My students will be able to access apps that reinforce skills and enable higher level learning. An iPad helps students who are kinesthetic and visual learners open up the doors of education and individualize their learning experiences. The iPad will become a tool that will help create more authentic learning experiences in the classroom as well as build twenty first century skills that our children need in order to be successful in a quickly evolving technical world. My students will be able to work in centers with the iPads, writing, reading, learning phonemic awareness skills, working with math manipulatives and more. They will be able to create both independent and collaborative projects in order to show true understanding of concepts.
