My Project
Currently, I use a mixture of technology in my classroom, they include the use of a whiteboard or projecting from my desk using a document camera and TV. This limits the amount of time I can spend with my students at their desks. It also makes it difficult for me to "walk around" the room and see how my students are doing with their work.
An iPad would allow me to do all the things that a whiteboard and document camera can do and more!
Once I have the iPad, I would project it on the SmartTV that I already have, and I can deliver the lesson and walk through some examples from their worksheets on the TV. As I show the slides or the problems we are working on, I can walk around and identify students who are struggling and even sit with groups of students.
The iPad will also help me to make videos for my students about the lessons we went through in class. This allows students that need a refresher on topics, like graphing an absolute value function in Desmos, or students that were absent and are unable to seek additional help after school.
