Technology is an amazing learning tool, one that many people take for granted.
My twenty first grade students are excited about learning and love using technology as a tool in the classroom.
Unfortunately, our school computer lab is on a tight schedule, and there are only two working computers in our classroom. The waiting list to get on a computer is long!
My Project
My students would use the iPad mini with case to access educational websites as well as the many free apps available for learning. We have a teacher iPad mini that we use with our Apple TV. It sure would be great to have one (or more) for the students to use, too! The iPad mini would be a tool that I could use with students one-on-one for remediation and enrichment. I could also use it in small group, or students could use it independently. The best part is, they wouldn't be tied to a desk to use it!
Your donations to this project would mean that more of my children could have access to the technology that is revolutionizing the way children learn.
The technology of the iPad can also reach a student who might not otherwise be as engaged in learning. Imagine the difference that could make!
