My students need an iPad mini with a case to update our listening center.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Smirk's classroom raised $661

My Students
Sometimes it seems like every household has an iPad. My students don't have this privilege and our school's budget makes it impossible to provide the classrooms with them. However, I want my students to keep up with technology!
There are 18 energetic three and four year old children in my class.
Our school includes students from pre-k to eighth grade. It is in a high poverty area and about 85% of the students in the school receive free lunch. Our school is in a low-income neighborhood where the budget cuts have left no hope that materials will be purchased in the near future.
My Project
My students will have the opportunity to stimulate and encourage their learning through the use of an Apple iPad mini. iPads help reinforce different math and reading skills with a variety of applications. Students will have the ability to use the latest technology to review and reinforce addition, subtraction, sorting and word building, as well as many other educational applications available. They will also have an opportunity to use it to view things on the web and to do face time with students in other schools.
The iPad Otter Box covers will help my students take extra special care of the iPad mini and the iPad we already have. This way future classes may continue to use this technology.
An iPad is not just a fun toy, but it offers thousands of educational applications to help my pre-kindergartners be successful in school and in their future.
Being familiar with different forms of technology is a very important part of a child's education but because of the cost schools are unable to keep up with the latest and best technology. I want to make sure my students have this opportunity
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
