iPad Mini For Communication

My students need this iPad to be able to work on speech and language and communication apps while in a group with other students.

My Students

Children express themselves in many ways. They can speak using words, or with pictures or with a communication device or an app on the IPad. Let the iPad help us to learn language.

I work with students who are on the autism spectrum, as well as students with cognitive impairment and students with learning disabilities.

My students love working on a lot of the same skills as worksheets, but done in a fun, interactive way on the iPad.

My Project

My students will use the iPad mini with its carrying case to learn to use apps for communication, especially those children who I work with who are nonverbal and have autism. My students will use the iPad to work on vocabulary, concepts, following directions, etc. in a fun and interactive way.

My project will make a difference because your donation will help put a smile on a child's face by providing them with the use of the iPad mini to convey a message or to be able to work on an app that focuses on their language development in a fun way.
