My Students
My students are highly motivated, hard-working, and dedicated to their academics. My students learn Digital Information Technology, Advanced Placement Computer Science Principles, and Advanced Placement Computer Science A.
We are a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) school.
Our school is the only public magnet school in Florida that resides on a public university campus. Our classroom infuses STEM into the curriculum to allow students to have cross-curricular instruction that incorporates their core subject areas while providing students with critical thinking skills.
My Project
Our project is to request an iPad mini and setup to create a calming classroom environment. With this iPad we plan to use it to play calming music while students are working to promote a calming classroom environment. Having calming music can support students learning to keep the stress of high school down.
The iPad mini will become the hub to our classroom, from wellness to safety.
With the iPad mini we will also keep all safety manuals kept digitally and the iPad will be used when we have drills to take attendance, keep student name, pictures, and school communication.
Since our classroom has carpet, the vacuum cleaner and Swiffer duster will be used to keep our classroom clean. Having a clean classroom can supports in creating a calm, stress less environment.
