I have a total of 22 students who are excited about the use of technology in the classroom to expand their knowledge of reading. The ability to use iPads within my classroom will enhance my students academically. Having the opportunity to read at school on iPads will inspire my students' engagement.

Our elementary school is located in Anthem, Arizona. My classroom community is student orientated, welcoming, and warm. My students are eager to learn, yearn for exciting opportunities, and are highly respected by both me and their peers. I would like to provide iPads to them so that they can use technology anytime throughout the day. I would like to have enough iPads available so that each child, at least once during the day, has a chance to work with technology. With your help, these iPads will make a world of difference as they make a world of connections for my students.
My Project
Having iPads within my classroom will allow for students to read on-line books, search the web, and practice research skills. When my students get the opportunity to locate information on the World Wide Web in a matter of minutes, it will spark a new passion within them for learning something new daily. They will want to work diligently on finding information on research projects, discover more passion for reading through online books, and expand their knowledge on the various uses of technology.
Having iPads will help all of my first grade students access learning related to their curriculum.
There are many apps that reinforce what is being taught in class. Apps are good tools to have when students are not grasping the concepts being taught. They also help engage the students to have a love of learning and help improve their comprehension.
