My students are in the first grade in a Title 1 school in East New York.
There is also a large ENL population. We are in a low socio-economic community that has limited resources that are readily available for them to access. Yet despite these obstacles, they are intelligent, curious and have a strong desire to learn and be successful. Funding for this technology is not available in our school. I am committed to giving my students the best tools to learn and achieve. The Osmo is a fantastic new way to learn!
My Project
I am requesting one Apple iPad, one OSMO Gaming System and one protective case.
These resources will be used as a multi-sensory form of learning in groups, center-related activities and individualized learning opportunities. They will be able to work on much needed Phonics and Math activities that will set the foundation for future learning skill sets. This donation will provide an opportunity for hands-on fun fun and learning!
This iPad and OSMO gaming system will present great benefits for my class.
They will be able to work on much needed skills in a non-threatening, fun and accessible medium. They will also have access to fun and engaging technology within the classroom.
