I have a class of 6 students with a Mild/Moderate Intellectual Disability. Among these students, one child has CMV and CVI, which is a disorder that makes his brain unable to correctly comprehend what he sees. Although his eyes can see, this disability makes him classified as blind. He requires tactile materials, along with high contrast, enlarged items. A 13-inch IPAD would enable him to have access to apps that will cater to his deficits, and help him to improve his focus, hand-to-eye coordination, and give him access to materials similar to his peers.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
