My Students

Just imagine being able to integrate technology into daily learning activities! An iPad impacts learning in young children because they can practice and learn while being engaged.

I teach 2nd grade in a lower income school in Kansas City.

My students come from diverse backgrounds and we have many needs and languages in our school. It is amazing the difference that technology can make in both motivation and learning in a classroom. Unfortunately many of my students do not have access to a computer much less the amazing technology of an iPad. This iPad will give them the opportunity to learn through interactive technology integration.

My Project

I am requesting 1 iPad to help reinforce reading and math skills. The iPad applications will help with phonemic awareness, reading fluency, addition, subtraction, and much more. The use of technology in a primary classroom is very important. The iPad will also help my students learn how to use advanced technology. An iPad would enhance my students' love for learning and knowledge. Many of my students do not have computers, and certainly not an iPad, in their homes. Having access to one at school is essential. An iPad will provide a much richer learning environment and aid many more second grade students for years to come. We really need an iPad to provide advanced technology and engage my second graders. Please support my project and help my young learners grow and become ready for the world ahead!

An iPad will impact learning in my classroom through the use of technology integration for both struggling students and enrichment.

The students will have the opportunity to engage themselves in the technology that is used throughout the world while increasing math and reading levels.
