My Pre-K class learns about every culture and custom of each of our community members and classmates. As all the winter celebrations approach, we are very excited to incorporate Lunar New Year lessons, celebrating our Asian students and families.
We are all about the students' day-to-day learning and progress.
In order to keep track of this, we take photographs and videos of everything they do...when they dance, sing, draw, build, and create. These pictures and videos go into their digital folders to be shared with the students, their parents, and other teachers.
For privacy and safety, student pictures and videos can not be taken on personal devices. I am requesting an iPad (with a case) to use to take pictures and videos and upload them to student portfolios. These photos will be used in class to show the boys and girls their own dancing, singing, and other work they did previously, as we build on learned concepts. They will also be used for presentations, so families can share in our celebrations!
