This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Well, honestly I don't even know where to start off when talking about my students! Each and everyone of them have their own personality which makes them all unique and special in their own ways. I could tell you that overall they are a very caring and loving group. They care for each other like brothers and sisters. They also help and support each other inside and outside of the classroom. I constantly catch them reminding each other of things they should be doing and how they could become better individuals.
My students are also very outgoing and talkative.
Although it could sometimes be a little difficult to handle, it is something I embrace in them. They are not afraid to ask for help, share their opinions or help guide each other when they see a classmate lost. I always imagined this helpful environment in my classroom and realized with this group of students, that they are the ones that make the environment that way.
Lastly, my students LOVE to read. I have instilled in them this love for reading through a variety of books in my classroom library. You can always catch them with a book in their hands!
My Project
The iPads I am requesting will give the students access to the World Wide Web! Giving students the opportunity to answer all their questions at the moment make getting these iPads so much more rewarding.
The iPads will also be used to use Kahoot as an informal assessment, allow them to complete iReady in centers, have access to more AR quizzes and so much more!
Being able to incorporate these iPads in my lessons will also help students learn about researching different topics and ideas. I have seen how my students watch videos and learn through books and being able to combine both, with help them all excel.
