My Students
We love the iPad lab, but don't like it when we are short a couple of iPads and a student feels left out of the fun. We have 29 kids in our class and only 28 iPads in our mobile iPad lab.
We are a Spanish Immersion school in a low economic neighborhood.
We have 28 and 29 students in our Dual Immersion program. The students spend half of their day immersed in Spanish and the other half of their day learning English Language Arts. We have many core content areas to teach in our short time and have found the iPads are a great resource in meeting all learning levels and other academic challenges.
My Project
We are requesting an iPad to help complete our mobile iPad lab and integrate technology in a young first grade environment. The iPad reinforces Reading, Writing, Math, Social Studies, Science and the Arts instruction in our classroom. The students are engaged and practicing skills that they have been taught in the classroom.
Imagine a class with 28 iPads and 29 students, how would you feel to be the only child without an iPad or having to share your allotted time with another student.
That is what is happening without this extra iPad.
