My Students
My students are responsible for our school's morning announcements. Last year we have spent time learning virtually and recoding announcements through zoom.
We have also had in person learning, where we recorded and edited with our smart phones.
At times students and even myself were quarantined trying to learn (and teach) remotely while most of the class was in-person.
Through all these obstacles my students worked hard to produce announcement videos for each school day. During virtual learning the announcements were the only thing tying our entire student body together and helping us feel like one community.
My Project
My students create the yearbook for our school and the video announcements. We have Chromebooks for classwork, but do not have video or photo editing software.
I am requesting an iPad which will give my students the capability to edit videos and pictures in class and upload them directly to our drive.
Right now students have to do this on their cell phones. Not all students have cell phones, so we are limited as to what we can accomplish. Having an iPad will allow all students in class the ability to participate, even if they do not have a cell phone.
