My Students
Do you remember what it was like the first time you read a book? My students have not yet discovered the ability to read. They enjoy being read to but can't yet read themselves.
My students are in K-4th grade with reading and math disabilities in Moore, Oklahoma.
I have a wide range of disabilities in my classroom. They include autism, hearing impaired and dyslexia. They struggle with sight words and reading comprehension.
My Project
The iPad will help motivate and excite my students to read. There are many educational apps. that encourage reading. This resource will add to the other tools I use when teaching reading. Using technology in the classroom will help my students learn keyboarding skills and reading skills.
My project is important because everyone needs to be able to read.
It is a life skill. If you can't read you are limited in your job skills. Your confidence is down and often students will dropout of high school. Please contribute to my project to help my students learn to read.
