My Students

"BRING IT ON" is the way my student take on learning in my dynamic kindergarten classroom. Learning is challenging for many of my students and technology is a powerful way to hook them into learning because it allows me to differentiate instruction and meet the needs of each of my students.

Our school is in East New York, a high poverty section of Brooklyn.

There are multiple cultures and backgrounds in each class with many students struggling to overcome learning and emotional obstacles. Everyday teachers and students work hard achieve and succeed. My kindergarten children are loving and kind and deserve the technology tools found in more affluent schools.

My Project

The iPad with a protective cover will serve as an instructional tool for teaching basic grammar, phonics, math, science, and social studies. The myriad of kindergarten leveled apps will give me a powerful avenue to differentiate instruction for my general education and special education students. Using these apps, I will create various learning centers for individual and small group learning. In addition, I will use the iPad to project apps onto the SMARTBoard for whole group instruction. In addition to teaching subject matter, this iPad will help students learn cooperative partnering skills and sharing.

Your donation to this iPad project will help impact the learning of my budding kindergarten achievers.

It will help me give them the basic language and math skills that so many lack and help me prepared them for 1st grade. Thank you for your support of my classroom and teaching initiatives.
