My students need an iPad, they are ages 6-11 and have different disabilities. These disabilities include hearing impairment, autism, ADHD and learning disabilities.

My Students
My students face many challenges in education. Many of them have difficulty with paper pencil activites. Educational apps can be downloaded to help them gain knowledge in reading and math. The Apple iPad creates a hands on learning experience for my students.
My students are in elementary school 1st -4th grade with a variety of disabilities.
The disabilities include hearing impairment, autism, ADHD and specific learning disability. They are eager to please and will give 110% in each task presented to them. They struggle with reading recognition and reading comprehension. Math skills are also difficult for my students; fractions and story problems can be especially challenging for my students. We are in a suburban area in Oklahoma with mild poverty. The Apple iPad will allow me to find educational math and reading apps to help improve my students learning. The iPad will also introduce them to computer skills that they will carry with them throughout their educational career.
My Project
The Apple iPad will expose my students to a variety of different learning opportunities. Many apps help increase reading, sight word recognition, reading comprehension, and vocabulary. There are many math apps as well. My students will be able to increase math skills in the area of telling time, fractions, story problems and basic math facts.
