This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We have a diverse population of almost entirely minority students, in attendance, including many English learners, and several students who are barely speaking any English. We have great staff members who love the kids and support them in all aspects of their education. Safety is our number one priority in my school.

We hope to provide a well-rounded music education, where music class is “cool,” and kids look forward to coming to class.

We are finding ourselves in need of some supplies to help maintain our growing music program.

My Project

Earlier this year we purchased an iPad to use in class. This technology has completely changed the way I teach music. I think it would be incredibly helpful to add to our technological collection with another iPad. I'd like to utilize some applications for reinforcing the reading of music. I have been using my other iPad to teach, and for students to use when needing extra support.

My students particularly enjoy using the “Staff Wars” application on our current iPad.

I’d like to make it possible for more students to have access to this and other technology accessible via the iPad.
