Help me give my students an iPad for interventions and for my ESL students to be able to translate text in real time.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Firth's classroom raised $430

My Project
The iPad will help my fourth grade students demonstrate creativity and innovation, communication and collaboration, research, critical thinking, and problem solving. The iPad will help my students to access information and learn new skills not currently available to them due to outdated technology. This will also provide individualized instruction because applications can be customized to meet student needs. Many of the students in my classroom are reading below grade level and need research based interventions, such as Lexia, to help reach their grade level. My English Language Learners need to learn basic English. Google Translator has a camera feature that allows students to hover over and translate text and has an immersive feature. The simplicity of the touch interface is making the iPad an extremely popular device for students with special needs.
The iPad will transform our current technology and classroom from a teacher driven model to a student driven model where the student is an active participant in their own learning in a community of learners.
Students will be able to read and become better readers and writers with this new iPad. Please help this much needed iPad. I appreciate your time and hope you can help our future leaders.
