This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a speech therapist, I love seeing my students’ personalities shine. My job is to help them communicate in the school setting because, without communication, they struggle to express their needs, share their thoughts, and connect with others. Even though they face disabilities and challenges, they always come to school with a smile, eager to learn and interact.
The iPad will make a huge difference in their learning by providing interactive educational apps tailored to their needs.
The iPad will also help them communicate with others using pictures and symbols on the device. The iPad will give them an accessible way to practice language skills, engage in activities, and build confidence in their communication.
My goal for this project is to create a more inclusive and engaging learning environment where my students can develop their communication skills in a way that works for them. They are bright, joyful children who deserve every opportunity to express themselves, and this resource will help make that possible.
