it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are very special and are very positive and willing to learn, especially if there are hands-on activities, educational games, science projects, or they use technology. Our class is based on blended lessons which apply technology and paper-based work.
My students are bilingual and live in a low-income area.
Some of the students come from Mexico because we have a border with them. The school tries to give the best it can so the students can be prepared for the world, and we are a STEM school and use the blended learning technique.
The district has a low budget to provide the required technology and supplies that are needed for a better classroom environment, organization, or learning experience. Thank you.
My Project
ESL students are creative and great students that have as many accommodations as needed. One of them is the use of technology in class. We use the technology to translate words from English to Spanish, do research about readings we do in class (ELA, Science, and Social Studies), write research papers, create google slides for presentations, play kahoot based on the readings of the week, work on homework from other classes, and read books using a special program called MyOn. We use technology every day and iPads are the best and easiest option for us. This is because my students are not only LEP students, but also some of them are SPED and it is easier for them to use an iPad than a computer.
