Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
An iPad will be perfect for my classroom because it will not only allow me to track academic data for my students, but it will also be a great resource to boost student engagement and minimize any behavior issues that might come with the end of the year fast approaching.
This device provides real-time data that can easily be retrieved and analyzed.
I will be able to grade and input student data more frequently and efficiently since an iPad is more versatile than hauling around a laptop. I will have the ability to track progress over time and adjust teaching strategies to ensure personalized goals are being met. Using an iPad and iPad pencil for data collection and progress monitoring in education is highly effective to help students reach their goals and promote learning.
Students will also be able to earn the iPad by displaying good behavior. Students can work together to document our day by taking pictures for our Class Dojo and keeping track of their points. This will help boost behavior and student engagement because every student is going to want to try their absolute best every day just to be able to manage the iPad.
Overall, an iPad fosters a more organized approach to monitoring progress and contributes to a more personalized and effective learning experience. Technology has become a huge factor in education. Students respond and automatically become more engaged at the sight of technology. This is why I think this device will be beneficial for my students.
