iPad for Creative Curriculum Development and Air-Play Instruction
Help me give my students interactive instruction through AirPlay (screen mirroring) with an iPad in my classroom. This tool would be helpful in creating and displaying interactive lessons for my ELA & ACT students!
My students come from various backgrounds - our school boundaries align with low-income housing as well as upper-middle-class families. Our neighborhood is a tight-knit community comprised of all races and ethnicities. Our school will begin its second year being open in Fall 2020, where we as a team of faculty and staff are creating meaningful and lasting traditions and expectations in classroom engagement.
My students are engaged, intrigued, and excited to learn in their high school Language Arts class where they learn skills they need to carry on to higher education in college and in their professional careers.
My Project
In my classroom, we are constantly viewing and needing fun, interactive lessons! Apps and activities that are offered on the iPad are endless, enriching my content and providing cool activities such as interactive, 3-D tours of historical sites and more.
The iPad would be a very valuable tool for me as a teacher to manipulate, create, and evaluate key content for all my courses - 11th Grade Language Arts, ACT Prep, and World Mythology.
Our school is a 1:1 Chromebook school where students have constant internet access and Canvas integration, and an iPad would heighten my interaction and instruction. Apps like Plickers, Remind, Ted, Animoto, Kahoot, and Seesaw could be used every day.
