Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As technology advances, teachers need to adapt and find more creative ways to teach students. The iPad will help abandon traditional ways of teaching. It can help with classroom management by allowing the teacher to be mobile while displaying the iPad on the board instead of having the teacher always returning back to the desk/computer. This allows more time to walk around and work with groups of students.
I am a floating teacher (move to a different classroom every period of the day) that needs to quickly adjust from room to room.
The iPad allows me to not have to transport so many necessary items from class to class. Some rooms have no whiteboard space, and the iPad allows me to project my screen onto the board via the projector. It also makes it easier to use different apps and technology to engage students in math.
This project will also allow the teacher and student to take screenshots of the work on the iPad, make comments, provide feedback, and can be easily shared from one student to another. The addition of the iPad and Pencil will provide many more opportunities for not only the teacher but especially for those students with different learning needs.
