it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember what your life as a first grader was without modern technology? Unfortunately, my first grade students have limited access to the latest technical devices.
I teach 22 incredible first graders who love coming to school each day.
They are so eager to get their hands on any and everything given to them on a daily basis. They live in a high poverty stricken neighborhood, and most of them qualify and receive free lunch program. However, this does not keep them from wanting to absorb new lessons and/or skills offered to them.
My Project
With the iPad, my students will be able to have access to the latest modern technology. It will provide them with the opportunity to increase reading fluency, assist them with story comprehension and better prepare them for the next school year. They will learn how to manipulate the device and ensure it is protected with the plan and cover. It will allow them with resources they would otherwise not have.
I thank you in advance for your generosity in helping fund this project because you will afford my students with opportunities they have little or no access to.
My first graders, as each child does, deserve every chance at modern technology with no limits to enhance their learning. You will make learning fun and exciting for these children that have limited chances of manipulating such resources or devices.
