My Project

As a first grade teacher, I am requesting a classroom set of 20 iPads to support one-to-one technology access for my students. Currently, there are only a few iPads available to share among eight first grade classrooms, which severely limits my students' ability to use technology regularly and effectively.

Having a dedicated iPad for each student would allow me to integrate technology into daily instruction in a purposeful and engaging way.

With a class set, students would have the opportunity to use educational apps, participate in interactive lessons, develop digital literacy skills, and demonstrate their learning creatively. These devices would help meet first grade standards in all core subject areas while also teaching students to use technology intentionally, effectively, and responsibly.

A one-to-one iPad environment would not only increase student engagement, but also foster personalized learning, collaboration, and independence. This grant would significantly impact the quality of instruction and learning in my classroom, ensuring all students have equitable access to the tools they need to succeed in today’s digital world.
