My Project

My students are creative thinkers, writers, readers, inquirers, explorers, and leaders despite the fact that over half of my students do not speak English at home, and, for many, English is not their first language. Some of my students have language and learning disabilities.

While overcoming many challenges, my students work hard, think deeply, and always take extra effort to learn and share with each other.

Our school is a Title I school that serves many underprivileged students in the community. Approximately 95% of our students are from low-income households, and all of our students are eligible to receive free lunch. Many of them will, hopefully, be the first in their family to go to college.

I firmly believe that our students are 21st Century leaders and in this generation must learn to use technology effectively at an early age in order to be successful—not only in school but in life. During lessons, this iPad would allow me to use it as a document camera as well as an interactive whiteboard to be projected on the big screen. I would use the Apple Pencil and iPad to demonstrate annotation with reading texts and writing editing. The iPad will become my interactive notebook, so I can present many thinking concepts during whole group lessons, small groups, and one-on-one tutoring...endless excitement and learning. We could only do this with your love and care.
