Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This will be my 5th year in education but my first year teaching Spanish which has been my dream subject since entering the education field. I’m beyond excited to finally be working towards making sure I have all the supplies/furniture needed to create a space for years to come! My goals with this project is to make sure that we have the right furniture that would not only improve the physical space but also boost student morale and engagement. We need a rug, bean bag chairs, a storage cart, and literature organizers. When students walk into a clean, thoughtfully furnished classroom, they feel valued — and that sense of respect helps inspire confidence, responsibility, and a positive attitude toward learning. As an educator, my goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment where every student can thrive. One of the most important — and often overlooked — aspects of this environment is the classroom furniture. Currently, my classroom lacks essential, functional furniture that supports student learning and comfort. Many of the rugs & chairs are outdated, mismatched, or in poor condition, and we have limited flexible seating options.
