My Students
My students in grade eleven are hard-working, multi-tasking-style learners. They balance academics, athletics, and social commitments with after school and weekend jobs. They range from high to low socioeconomic levels as well as a broad range of learning levels. Their ethnic backgrounds are diverse; foreign exchange students share the halls of our school.
My students are winners in the classroom, standouts on the field and court, and compassionate future leaders of our community.
They work together with faculty members to achieve greatness each and every day.
My Project
My students have the choice to attend school in person or participate from home using our technology platform. There has been a dedicated representation of in-seat learners so far this year. Our building is undergoing major construction, and the weather has changed to fall. Our classroom runs cold. I’d like to make it more comfortable and inviting to the students by softening the lighting, keeping it clean, and warming it up when necessary.
My students should feel as comfortable at school as they are at home so they will choose to attend.
I will clean frequently touched items, like the doorknob, using the wipes in this project. The lamp will be placed in a corner to provide light when the overheads are off during periods of listening comprehension. Lastly, we can use the space heaters when needed to take the chill off the room so that our concentration is on teaching and learning rather than the temperature.
