Inviting and Safe Social Work

Help me give my students a comfortable place to meet to work on their emotions, actions and getting along with others. When students are comfortable, they feel more relaxed and are able to open up and share more.

My Project

My students currently receive their social work therapy in an almost bare room with one comfortable seat because they loved the comfortable seating so much, they broke. There used to be 4 comfortable seats, but both beanbag chairs broke and one of the saucer chairs fell apart. They deserve to come into a room that immediately puts them at ease where they can feel relaxed and special, instead of as afterthoughts. They deserve to have their seating replaced when it breaks and more durable furniture.

Funding this project will allow me to re-create a space that is inviting, calming and conducive to therapy as well as showing students they deserve theses spaces.

In creating this space for them, students can see that they are valued and their social emotional well-being is a priority and can feel comfortable while doing so.
