My Project
Please help support our class of 50 first graders who are striving to achieve a DRA of 18. Students need a library that houses books at their independent reading level. This gives them the opportunity to read independently, in a small group setting, with guided treading; or in pairs. Currently our classroom lacks a variety of books on independent levels. With new books, students will gain confidence as they read different texts and build upon their fluency and word recognition. This project will give a classroom a fresh set of books that students will use daily in a multitude of ways. Help our students reach success in reading that will provide a sound foundation for all future learning opportunities. Being in a rural area, funding is sparse; and your help would help provide students with the foundaiton they need in literacy to be successful for their future education goals.
