Investigating Chemistry through Bath Bomb Chemistry

Help me give my students supplies for our chemistry unit including malic acid, acetic acid, baking soda, and various supplies to make bath bombs.

My Project

Students will be conducting several investigations on how new substances are formed and how energy is transferred in the environment around them. This investigation will last throughout our chemistry unit and will involve several hands-on activities throughout the quarter. The unit will give them a love of science but also give them a new perspective that everything around them, including the use of electronics, comes at a material price and that matter is transferred from one place to the next. We will take a look at how the law of conservation of energy and matter can be applied to the simple things but also take a look at the bigger picture as our world demands decisions to conserve or not conserve moving forward. I hope to create a new generation of bright thinkers and problem solvers through this unit.
