it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have 42 inquisitive fourth grade gifted students in my classroom. They are full of curiosity, energy, and love to learn.
My students come diverse backgrounds, but ultimately they all share a love learning about the world around them!
My goal is to keep that love for learning and inquisitive fire in them by providing them a classroom environment that promotes learning through hands-on experiments, real-world problem solving, and incorporating techonology to create active life long learnes. Ultimately, I want to prepare students for the real world and encorage individual learning and self growth.
My Project
A classroom digital camera and a color wireless printer/scanner would be a great addition to our class to motivate and engage students in their Science and Math lessons! An essential addition to our class would be an electric sharpener. It will save class time that students waste sharpening their pencils with their hand help sharpeners. The students and I will use the digital camera to capture images of our daily activities and to document results of science investigations.
The class digital camera and printer would be the perfect addition to our classroom to keep my students motivated and excited about learning!
Students will be motivated to conduct science experiments because they will use the camera to document results and will be able to print graphs and pictures using our color printer. Having a scanner in the classroom would increase my ability as a teacher to enhance my lessons and provide my students with access to articles that I find on either the newspaper, magazines, images on books, or student work that relate to Science and Math lessons taught in the classroom. Application of lessons to real-world situations gives the students an opportunity to make connections between what is taught and how it applies in the real-world. Both the digital camera and the printer/scanner will help me differentiate my instruction to engage and keep my students motivated to learn about the world around them!
