My Students
We need to play with some Play-Doh. We are from Southern Indiana and are plagued with varying weather. We need Play-Doh for indoor recess time.
I am the guidance counselor for a small school in Southern Indiana.
Our school district, like many other school districts, is focused on Technology. Our students can do amazing things with their technology devices. Sometimes our students need to put the devices aside and go back to creative play. This grant will allow our students to use their hands and creativity during our indoor recess time.
My Project
My students need Play Doh and Play Doh tools for creative play. As an educator I understand the importance of having "wiggle time" for students during the school day. When they are inside during recess the physical activity is limited. The students need items like Play-Doh, during recess to enable them to use their hands for sensory motor activities. When they are able to use their energy during recess they are able to focus better on their school work.
Please help our students play.
We need your help to purchase Play-Doh and Play-Doh toys. This will give us a way to incorporate creative play during our indoor recess. By helping our students play during recess you will also be helping them focus during their class time.
