Invaluable Tools for Learning, Resilience, Better Focus, and Fun

Help me give my students books from series they love, as well as tools like quality headphones, a bookshelf to help organize our library, incentives to encourage good behavior, and tools to help my kids with ADHD focus.

My Students

I teach 3rd grade at a Title 1 school where students come from a variety of socioeconomic levels, language backgrounds, and cultures. My students love to learn, read, and use technology at school. The pandemic has caused some difficult challenges that have caused several of them to fall behind in their reading and math skills because of the 2020 period of at-home learning, absences due to sickness, and family stress from the pandemic.

These are truly remarkable little people who will go on change the world, especially if they are given the right tools for success.

My Project

These materials will help my students to have access to book series (at various reading levels) that they love, as well as providing picture books that will help me to teach them emotional resilience and perseverance during this difficult pandemic time. The students will also greatly benefit from having quality headphones as they work on our various online programs in class to improve their reading and math skills. I also selected resources (such as the Bouncy Bands and individual timers) to help my students with ADHD focus better in class while they work and while participating in whole-group lessons.

These kiddos deserve the very best as they strive to learn and grow each day, and these materials will help that to happen!
