Help me give my students books for a school-wide reading week! Each book falls into a themed day where students will be introduced into the magic of reading!!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are participating in a school-wide event that is introducing them to the magical world of reading! Each class on campus will receive a "magic box" each week that is themed with different magic! When students open the box, they will see a read-aloud book, and a fun activity or item to go along with it. My school is passing around these "magic boxes" to different classrooms on campus, but need enough read aloud books to fit each grade level and classroom at a time.
Each box has a fun and exciting read aloud to inspire students to develop a love and passion for reading!
One book will be read in each class per week. The books in my project all fit three different themes at different grade levels. The themes are; "Books that Glow with Magic", "Flying into Reading", and "Camping out with a Good Book". We are excited to implement this new and creative way for student to interact with books they are reading and share the magic of reading with other students!!
