My Project
Help my drama students' confidence when moving our shows from the classroom to the auditorium! Adding a mini sound system to the classroom will help them feel more comfortable and be better acquainted with microphones and amplification before SHOW TIME. Our auditorium is in use all the time, so we have very limited time to rehearse on the stage. Having sound experience before getting into the auditorium will give the kids more time to focus on performing! They will already be stressing about actually being onstage, blocking, lights, etc., so how great will it be for them to not have to worry about this huge aspect of performing?
Adding a mini sound system to the classroom also introduces them to the world of technical theater and the possibility of a lucrative profession in the world of sound - whether in music, film, or theater.
Let's face it, not all students want to perform...this is a great way to get more students to participate “behind the scenes” and see how important the non-performing roles are as well.
