This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are incredibly imaginative and smart. They love to read and discover new things. By going to school, they escape the harsh realities of life in their low income communities. School was their second home and I was their second parent.
Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, my school will now be closed until the end of the school year.
My students will no longer get to escape their hardships. Luckily, our school had a grant where students each got to have a computer in the classroom. They are currently using that same computer to do their work and to communicate with me via video chat. Things are getting back to their "normal" life in school.
My Project
With schools being closed until the end of the school year, my students need digital access to different resources.
By using Teachers Pay Teachers digital resources, my students will have access to similar material I would present in class but with a digital twist.
Having access to digital material like reading passages, grammar review, aides for writing stories, fluency activities for both reading and math, science, and social studies subjects, my students will feel like they never left the classroom. I will be able to upload to my Google Classroom for my students to complete the assignments. They will have material, digital material, that will help them learn during this pandemic.
