it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Students are struggling with both reading and math but have a strong desire to learn. Their families are working very hard trying to make ends meet with day to day bills such as, food, electricity and heat. They don't have the supplies that would help them to be academically successful.
My Project
I am an intervention teacher in an urban elementary school. My students need a good deal of academic support in both reading and math. Unfortunately, I do not have a classroom of my own so I will need to carry my supplies to use with my students as I go to various areas of the school building. The dry erase boards and markers will help me work with children and provide support where they most need it. I can keep all their work either in their folders or in the composition notebooks. Since I travel throughout the building all day long the tote bag will make it very easy to carry my supplies to the students so they have what they need. Help me by providing supplies so I can help my students.
