My students need six netbook computers so that they can access the internet in my chemistry classroom.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Parker's classroom raised $2,411

My Students
My students would like to be able to explore more of the world of chemistry via the Internet. There are many fascinating things such as virtual laboratories that can be accessed using the Internet. The netbooks would allow us to achieve this goal.
I teach in an urban school district in Illinois.
The district is in an area of high poverty. Currently the high school I teach at is at 70% free and reduced lunch. The school itself is a magnet high school that has the District's gifted and performing arts programs. My students come from a wide variety of backgrounds, and they all have one thing in common, they are there to better themselves and make it to college.
My Project
The netbooks will change my students lives for the better because they will be able to take advantage of the wireless connections that the school has to offer. My students will be able to access resources that they could not have possibly used in the pass. The school needs more technology, and with limiting resources, computers are not a high priority. The netbooks will open the world up to my students.
Your donations to this project will make a difference because it will allow students who normally do not have all the resources to access the Internet in the classroom the chance to do so.
Ultimately, it will allow them to enhance their education and become successful in chemistry.
