My students need 1 Ipevo portable interactive whiteboard, dry erase markers and erasers.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Long's classroom raised $252
This project is fully funded
My Students
I teach at a large Illinois elementary school. The school is predominately African American. I teach 6th and 7th grades. My students are from low income families and are all eligible for free lunch.
My students, like most children today, are very tech-savvy.
Any way that I can integrate an aspect of technology into my lessons keep my students engaged. I have subscriptions to on-line educational sites such as BrainPop and Flocabulary. I also have a subscription to Time For Kids and Scholastic News Weekly Reader with Science Spin. There are on-line activities that my students are able to participate in but they don'ÃÂÃÂt have access to computers at home. It is difficult for my students to use the computers at school because they are often broken. If my grant is funded, I will be able to use the Portable Whiteboard with my subscriptions so that all of my students can take part in the on-line components of my subscriptions.
My Project
Unfortunately, every year our schoolâÃÂÃÂs budget is cut and I am left scrambling to find resources for my students. I have a lot of resource materials but I donâÃÂÃÂt have enough copies for all of my students. I am asking you to please fund my grant for one Ipevo Portable Whiteboard. I will be able to use one copy of printed material for all of my students. I can use a copy of an assessment and project it on the wall so that all of my students can see the information without making 62 copies! This will help save trees and will allow my students to receive their information technologically. The Whiteboard will also allow my students to actively take part in science demonstrations. These materials will further allow me to display information on my dry erase board and my students can write directly on the board allowing them to calculate and explain math problems for the entire class.
Anytime a lesson is delivered outside the ordinary my students seem more engaged.
This, of course, will help them be successful in school. My students and I would be greatly appreciative if you are able to help fund this grant.
