Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach at a low-income/high poverty school, where many students receive free lunch. My students also come to school just learning how to speak English. I am working hard to prepare my students for success in high school and college.
My 1st grade class is made up of 21 amazing scholars who are excited and ready to learn everyday!
My students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Even with those challenges, my students enjoy being at school because it makes them feel safe and loved.
My Project
My class recently moved into a mobile classroom. When we moved, we lost our SmartBoard. Now we only have a whiteboard. My students miss being able to touch the board and have an engaging experience.
We lost the opportunity to have an interactive experience in our room.
Now when my students are interacting with the board, they are pointing or touching the board but I am the one in control of the computer mouse. The IPEVO Interactive Whiteboard System will give my students more engaging learning experiences. The best thing is, this interactive projector can be used in all learning areas!
