Help me give my students this technology as it will help me teach digital skills and citizenship together with 21st century skills of critical thinking, creativity, information, media, and technology literacy in the context of literacy and numeracy.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Fernando Reyes's classroom raised $1,380
This project is fully funded
My Students
The students of my school are students in different grade levels (transitional kindergarten, kindergarten all the way to fifth grade). This also includes all students with disabilities (autism, developmental delays, learning, and behavioral challenges). These students are students socio-economically disadvantaged students as they all are eligible to the free lunch program.
My role as one of the teachers and instructional leaders in this school is to ensure that each student's unique academic, linguistic, emotional, social, and sensory needs are met through varied activities using best practices in teaching.
My Project
The intentional use of multimedia content will allow student engagement. Using technology in the classroom while teaching literacy, numeracy, science, and historical content allows interactivity with the curriculum, with the content, and the standards being taught to students. The use of this piece of technology will create learning activities that incorporate purposeful movement and responsive audio-visual feedback, which is effective in increasing and sustaining student engagement.
This piece of technology will show students how letters become sounds as I teach phonics to all my intervention students.
Reading stories being projected will demonstrate to students how good readers think while reading. Primary sources become alive in a social studies lesson while sense-making becomes clearer when teaching science concepts.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
