I would like to provide my students with a more interactive way to learn through a variety of technology tools. I am requesting an accessible touchscreen monitor, a bluetooth microphone, a wireless mouse, and an external DVD/CD drive, as well as storage and cleaning supplies for these items. With these tech tools, my students can access individualized learning programs, build essential skills, and gain the confidence they need to improve their communication skills.
By donating to this project, you will help provide access for students with disabilities to engage and participate during interactive lessons.
MONITOR WITH TOUCHSCREEN: This touchscreen monitor will allow for engaging, interactive lessons anywhere, which is especially important as my space at one school changes frequently. This tool is beneficial for students who are visual learners or have difficulty processing verbal instructions.
EXTERNAL DVD/CD DRIVE: This external DVD/CD drive will be used for playing interactive learning CD’s that we already own.
LOGITECH WIRELESS MOUSE: This wireless mouse will be used by students for online tools, such as pronunciation guides or a thesaurus.
BLUETOOTH MICROPHONE: The bluetooth microphone with built-in speaker will be used to encourage students with articulation impairments to produce their speech sounds correctly. It will also be used for students to practice for school events.
DOUBLE-SIDED MAGNETIC WHITEBOARD: This whiteboard will be used as a visual tool to write out how a student produces speech sounds versus the target.
ELECTRONIC CLEANING WIPES: These wipes will be used to clean the electronic equipment after student use and to prolong the life of the equipment.
ANTI-THEFT BACKPACK: This backpack will be crucial for protecting and storing all of the technology components in this project. It will allow the SLP to take the items from one school to another and has anti-theft lock protection.
